Universal Studios Japan is ready to amaze the guests with new attractions part of the Universal Cool Japan initiative. The park has brought its Despicable Me theme to the hotels where visitors can stay starting from July 15.
Alongside the two Minions rooms built in 2016 and 2017, The Hotel Universal Port is now receiving a space based on The Super Silly Funland amusement park that was featured in the first Despicable Me movie.
Here’s a peek at the brand-new space.
The whole interior of this room is decorated with wallpaper depicting the imaginary theme park so you can appear to have had all the rides for yourself.
The beds are also designed to make them similar to the roller coaster from the movie. In addition, it has bright yellow Minions bedding.
The TV stand is modeled after the Space Killer game that Margo, Edith, and Agnes play.
There’s a funhouse-style mirror and drawings of Minions affixed to the wall in the bathroom.
Take note of the tiny details, such as this lamp which looks like an animal in the movie series.
Ten of the Minions and the Despicable Me rooms are available. Daily Reservations are open until June 13 on the Hotel Universal Port website and on June 16 on other booking sites such as Jalan and Rakuten travel. Rooms can accommodate up to four people. The price costs start at 21,000 yen per person, inclusive of breakfast.
