Australian canoeist Jessica Fox uploaded a TikTok on the 22nd of July that surprised a lot of people. Her team had to do a last-minute repair on her canoe as she was participating in women’s Kayak Slalom as well as Canoe Slalom at the Tokyo Olympics.
Her team needed a stretch and waterproof material for the repair. First, melted gooey carbon fiber was applied to the tip of the canoe and durable elastic material was required to keep it in place to which the team decided to use a condom which turned out to work very amazingly.

The 27-year-old canoeist later went to bring home a gold medal on Thursday on canoe slalom as well as a bronze in the kayak slalom. Her parents were very happy as their daughter’s efforts finally landed her a gold medal.
Fox had set her eyes on the podium ever since her debut in 2012, which she achieved on Rio Olympics landing a bronze and finally was able to get a gold at Tokyo Olympics.
