Japanese fashion icon, comedian, influencer Naomi Watanabe went from impersonating Beyonce back in her early days to modeling for Beyonce’s new “Ivy Heart” collection in collaboration with Adidas and other celebrities Troye Sivan, Tyson Beckford, and supermodel Shu Pei Qin and so on.
When Japanese famous Naomi Watanabe was just beginning to gain recognition on the world stage, She earned herself the name ” Japanese Beyonce.
However, while her beginnings in the world of entertainment came from her work as a comedienne nowadays, Watanabe is now more famous for her work as a fashion model. Along with her fashion brand for more plus-size women, PUNYUS collaborated with significant international beauty and fashion labels such as Kate Spade and SK-II.
In her most recent project, it appears Watanabe is coming full circle. Her latest model campaign is for no other brand than Ivy Park, the sportswear brand that is owned by none other than Beyoncé herself.
The collection is named Ivy Heart and includes many clothes, jumpsuits, accessories such as footwear, and more. The group is also available in various sizes, ranging from XXXS to XXXXL.
The central theme of the line is self-love, which is why red, the most prominent color, is used. The idea is “bringing people together from all different backgrounds” using red. While in Western traditions, red is the color of romance and sexuality, however, in Eastern culture, red is thought to symbolize luck and happiness.
Naomi’s participation as a part of this campaign received overwhelming appreciation from Japanese fans who were delighted that Watanabe finally had the chance to work with her idol.’
The collection was made available to people on the 10th of February.
