There are currently 20 designs available, all exclusive to Starbucks stores in the specific prefectures. Nineteen of them are prefecture themed, and one of them is the Japan mug.
Starbucks Japan releases fresh merchandise and drinks regularly to mark the chain’s anniversary in Japan or to welcome a new season. Like the most typical Japanese specialties, some are only available in specific regions in Japan. Adding to the list of its merchandise, The Starbucks Been There Series is finally available in Japan. It features items such as cups, mugs, tumblers, and bottles that commemorate famous places from Japan.
Starbucks Japan finally has launched the Been There Series, which gives 19 prefectures their own Starbucks merchandise design. The items available are mugs, bottles, and Starbucks prepaid cards for respective regions.
Each design showcases famous attractions and landmarks of the respective prefecture. The Tokyo one features the Kaminarimon Gate, Sensoji Temple, a panda, cherry blooms, and the famous Shibuya Crossing.
Nara has lots of cute bowing deer, pickles, and shaved-ice kakigori,
The Osaka design features a bright orange color with all of the city’s most famous street foods, including takoyaki and mixed juice.
Kyoto themed mug has drawings of geisha, Kamogawa River, and yatsuhashi.
Okinawa is a beautiful design with manta rays, hibiscus flowers, and Shisa (shrine guardian Lions) to give it a tropical feel.
There’s also one for Japan, highlighting the most popular things about the country, such as Mt Fuji, sumo, noodles, and sushi.
The complete prefectures represented are Fukuoka, Gifu, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Kanazawa, Kobe, Kumamoto, Kyoto, Nagano, Nagasaki, Nagoya, Nara, and Oita, Okinawa, Osaka, Sendai, Tochigi, Tokyo, and Yokohama.The Japan mug is the 20th design. Mugs are available for all 20 designs starting at ¥1,980. Seven of the designs; Japan, Okinawa, Hokkaido, Kyoto, Osaka Fukuoka, and Tokyo, are also available as stainless-steel bottles at the cost of ¥4,840.
Twelve of the following (12 (Hokkaido Sendai Tokyo, Kanazawa Nagano Nagano Kyoto, Kyoto, Osaka Kobe, Hiroshima Fukuoka, Okinawa) are also available as prepaid Starbucks coffee cards. They can be topped up at your convenience for as little or as much as you wish.You can see the entire range on the this website. You can find the designs in Starbucks stores all over the country. However, you will have to visit each prefecture for the specific designs.
