Jujutsu Kaisen’s anime series has undoubtedly gained a huge global fan base. Unfortunately, the movie hasn’t been released in many countries, so fans have been scouring the internet for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The craze has only grown since the movie surpassed the 1 billion Yen mark in its first week.
The movie also increased manga sales by tenfold. Even after the film was released globally on March 18, the production house has not yet provided details on the online release.
Where to Watch Jujutsu Kaisen Zero Movie?
There are currently no streaming services that can stream the movie. MAPPA decided to show the film in theaters exclusively at first because they knew from the hype of the anime series that it would make waves. The studio does not want to lose any of its income. The profits would be cut if the movie were released on streaming platforms.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie is not available for streaming on any streaming platform currently. However, Crunchyroll and Netflix would most likely try to obtain the film. The question is: Which of these platforms will most likely distribute the film globally?
Netflix, Funimation, and Crunchyroll on A Run For Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
OTT platforms are eager to get their hands on the movie, which has already been a massive success in Japan and has broken multiple records. The movie might not be available on all platforms for at least a year. The film may launch on online platforms in 2023 or in the last months of 2022.
However, JK Season 1 is available for streaming via Crunchyroll and Funimation(now acquired by crunchyroll). Crunchyroll does a great job of distributing anime worldwide. As Crunchyroll was the one to officially dub the movie for US theatre release, it’s likely that the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be shown first there.
On the other hand, Netflix has shown great interest in JK zero. Anime is a lucrative medium. Netflix will undoubtedly try to obtain streaming rights as it does have quite the budget to do so, and streaming rights are for those who have bid more.
