Black and White Photos by a Japanese photographer from the backstreets of Cuba

“Deep Habana” is a series by Japanese photographer Takahiko Nakado, shot on the streets of Habana, Cuba.

Nakado’s signature atmospheric style reveals the vibrant culture of traditional Cuban life. His black and white shots feature intimate moments with the people he met on the street.

Though originally from Tokyo, Nakado is probably best known for his international work in formerly socialist countries. In addition to shooting this series in Cuba, he has also captured daily life in Eastern Europe and Russia.
