Japan Is Going Wild For New Bizarre Black Burger Trend

Burger King in Japan has taken the cheese burger to a whole new level of weird. This is the black burger. It comes complete with black buns, black cheese, and black sauce. And no, this burger’s color is not a mistake. It’s actually the “premium” burger. That’s right, you pay extra for the odd color.

How do you even begin to make a black burger? It all started in 2012 when someone had the bright idea to color the buns and cheese with bamboo charcoal and dye the ketchup with squid ink.

I think the black colored fast food must be a real trend, because I’ve also seen picture of black hotdogs and other variations on a black burger. I’m not sure how I feel about it.
