Ocean-Inspired Jewelry Creations Produce From Translucent Fabrics By The Japanese Artist

Jewelry fascinates the ultimate touch to our costume set-up, they decorate our body brightly. Prehistorically, our choice precisely seeking for simple, fine accessories, but there are also some trending new bright and eye-catching colorful ornaments that add an attractive combination of vitality and glamour.

Japanese artist Mariko Kusumoto, despite some otherworldly appearance she comes to the new approach of finding uniqueness in the ornaments sector and she then inspired from sea-creatures and creates jewelry that could be described as something in-between. While her handmade designs are a bit large and multicolored, at the same time these unique creations are furnished with delicate, temporary qualities of the translucent fabric used to fabricate them.

Kusumoto says of her jewelry:

“My work reflects various, observable phenomena that stimulate my mind and senses; they can be natural or man-made. I ‘reorganize’ them into a new presentation that can be described as surreal, amusing, graceful, or unexpected.”

Her sea-inspired jewelry takes form when she applied the traditional origami-like folding technique by heating the translucent fabric until it holds the shape she wants. Many of the shapes are spherical that contain fun-loving, equally fragile sculptures inside.

Kusumoto says:-

“I always like to leave some space for the viewer’s imagination; I hope the viewer experiences discovery, surprise, and wonder through my work.”
