Seiryu Miharashi Station’s Only Purpose Is To Let Passengers Enjoy Nature
Sometimes we become so focused on our destination that the beauty around us is lost. However, that is not the same for passengers which are seen stepping onto the platform at Seiryu Miharashi station, Japan. The views are overwhelming. This unique platform has neither an entrance nor exit and was inaugurated at the Nishikigawa Seiryu Line in the south on March 19, 2019. The design encourages travelers to stop to admire the natural world before continuing on their journey.
Seiryu Miharashi Station, which translates to Clear Stream, lies between Neguwa and Nekasa cities and can only be reached by train. The station itself is a viewing platform, and there’s nothing more and nothing less around the station. You cannot get off the station and roam around. The station, however, provides an exceptional view of the Nishiki River. Not that many trains use this route either. When passengers disembark from the train, they will not find ramps nor gates leading them away from the station. Seiryu Mikaashi is deep in the mountains, meaning passengers must wait until another train arrives before reaching their goal.
The station is an excellent stop for travelers and rail enthusiasts. This trip allows you to enjoy the region’s beauty and slow down.
A new station was opened in Japan’s Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The Seiryu Miharashi Station can be found on the Nishikigawa Seiryu line without an entrance or exit.
It was built to promote the scenery a provide a change of pace to the mundane journey.
