Authorities in Yokohama have arrested a 76-year-old man on suspicion of dangerous driving, resulting in several injuries. He has also been driving without a permit for more than 50 years.
Police reports mention that Katsushi Abe collided with a female cyclist at a junction on Tuesday around afternoon. The cyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision. Police did not find any license on Abe, and he confirmed that it was suspended when he was 20 year old.
Police say they can’t find any evidence of his permit from 50 years ago. They think Abe was driving with no license for the entire time.
